We are an ambulatory only practice, so we are well equipped to care for your horse at home, but we do require a few things in order to provide a safe and effective environment for both us as well as your horse.
1. A level, dry area with non-slip footing (generally stalls work well, but are not required) that is protected from the elements. Generally, I work with horses standing in their stall, with their head resting on a head stand in the aisleway. Low level lighting is preferred.
2. A safe place for your horse to recover from sedation (all feed will need to be removed for about an hour).
3. Access for our van to park near your horse, and ideally a 30" wide doorway and clear walkway. We will unload our equipment on a wagon and bring it directly to your horse.
4. Access to water and electric is preferred - if not available please let us know when scheduling your appointment.
